VR is being overplayed!

History of VR: VR glasses are being really over-produced, now many people are calling 2016 The Year of the VR. At first, in 1968 when “Sword of Damocles” was made it was acknowledged, but not as much as it is now that’s for sure. This led to the real birth of VR this was in 1987, that was the year when the name Virtual reality was born. Now the first line of VR video games in 1961 this what really started the VR we have now. Then the first real “portable” VR glasses came out Sega announced VR glasses for the Sega Genesis in 1993, then the Nintendo Virtual Boy, and then the Matrix. We’re now in the 21st century and finally VR finally started to get big after the Oculus Rift, it was the new way of technology and the start of holograms. I don’t think anyone would have thought it would have gone this far and taken this long.

Huawei recently announced their new Huawei VR. We don’t know much but what we do know is that it is compatible with the new P9, P9 plus and Mate 8 phones. We also know that it will come with 40 free games, 4,000 free videos, many panoramic tours and images from around the world ready to download on launch day. There is a panel on the back that controls everything in the VR, it has surround sound, it adjusts to the users eyes requirements all the way down to -7.00, a 95-degree field of view, and the best feature an anti-blue light filter so your eyes don’t get strained unlike some other VR’s. They have not specified when it will come out or the price.

Many may say that Huawei is targeting the Samsung Gear because they are the exact same concept, well there not. Huawei is targeting the Chinese market first. Samsung iScreen Shot 2016-04-15 at 14.06.07s targeting the European, the US, and South Korean market first. It is unlikely they will come head-head until one of the companies start targeting one of the other companies countries.

Overall though I think the VR market is growing more and more each day and it is only going to expand. VR has changed a lot it opened the concept to holograms and they came a lot sooner than we expected, the developer version of the holo lens was released in the UK march 30th 2016.
